In what ways? Do you mean characters like Maltran and Lunarre? Cause if so, yeah, but Tales always has underutilized characters. Xillia's field maps were far, FAR worse, and Berseria's also bad in this regard. I'll grant you this one as well, but this isn't exclusive to Zestiria. You can't even pull off a full basic combo chain at the start of battles, and if you play as anyone but Velvet using your break souls is just begging to be gimped and do shitty 2-arte combos until you pull off a stun. If you want to talk about feeling limiting and restrictive, I find Berseria's soul gauge system far more offensive. The only real problem with Zestiria's combat system IMO is the fact that you often end up feeling like you only have 2 characters in battle. I'll concede this one, I really disliked this as well. The good thing is that you can easily clear the game even though you completely ignore it. Yeah, it sucked, but to be fair, Graces' alchemy pot or whatever sucked too, and so does Berseria's upgrade shit. Not him, but as another Zestiria fan I'll take a stab at this. I don't think Zesty is the "worst" game ever, but it had a lot going against it. Story felt rushed at points with a lot of character development dropped with no conclusion A lot of the environment and dungeon designs were bland and lifeless. Not even talking about making needless combo videos either. There was some fun to be had with it, but you were very limited in what you could actually do if you tried to push the limits. Battle system offered very little freedom. Armatization was a cool concept on paper but handled in a really rough way. Skits were handled in a dumb way instead of just having them pop up naturally they were mostly confined to happening at save points, so you'd have a ton pop at once. Equipment and skill system was pure shit and it was literally RNG that decided if you had a good skill set-up or not. I didn't even mind her that much but the rest of the game had some pretty glaring flaws. Zestiria had a lot of problems outside of Rose.
